Day 2- Write something that someone told you about yourself that you never forgot.
Hmm.. I'll do 2- something nice and something... crappy. I'll start with crappy. It's quick.
A guy I went out with once told me my eyes were the color of, well, crap. Yeah, thanks.
Something not crappy (ha ha so punny)... This is hard because I tend to remember the bad and not the good because I find it hard to believe positive, good things about myself. I'm working on that.
Hmm... something (nice) that someone told me about myself that I never forgot. I guess I've had some people say I'm a hard worker and funny, but that isn't as meaningful as this. I'm tearing up as I type this so bear with me... In 2003, I (finally) finished my teaching degree and did my student teaching near my hometown at Ferrisburgh Central School. I got to work with 2 classes of 4th graders, one of whom I'm still in touch with. She messaged me not long ago (on her birthday, the day I met her in 2003 and she reminds me of that just about every year ). Her message said, "Sixteen years ago you walked into a classroom as a student teacher and met a kid on her 10th birthday and left with a lifelong impact."
I don't know what I did that was anything special. But what she said is something I will not forget.
